In the past week I attended two events, both were terrific. Standout 2012 was a two hour session sponsored by AIESEC in Surrey to help students improve their communication skills. It including an inspiring talk by Ross Laird who empowered the students with the notion that they were in control of the world through their use of new media.
The second event was a virtual conference sponsored by PR Week. By registering online I was able to follow a series of live interactive webinars. What made it so cool is the imagery of a convention hall. I could also visit a trade show where sponsors had booths with staff waiting online for questions. For any of these interactions I could save material into a “briefcase” which I downloaded at the end of the conference. There was another room if you wanted to network with other attendees.
