Access Copyright – Our “Burning Platform” moment?

The Access Copyright agreement currently being considered by Kwantlen’s leadership has been on my mind of late.  In a world that is becoming more and more open, where does this traditional approach to the protection of scholarly intellectual property fit?  Does it?
